We were brought to Cheongyencheon stream... seemed to have played a critical role in part of the Korean history. Annie did not elaborate much, except telling us it's a popular place for the locals to come and relax... since there aren't many parks in Seoul.
In fact, we were at part of the stream the day before (while at Dongdaemun Market).
We were given almost an hour of free time to roam around this area. What a waste of valuable time, I think! Anyway... roam around and noticed there's some kind of campaign that went on there... the "Yellow Ribbon Campaign". On the little yellow flag had part of the song "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Old Oak Tree" printed. Guess it's kind of the awareness exercise.
Oh yes... how could I miss such collector's items - got one of these yellow flag, a pin and a packet of salt (well, a table was set-up to distribute such things!). Ha! Mum just discovered her daughter would do such nonsense when overseas!
